In Los Cristianos, in Arona, the water sports you can book today leave from the beach and have no engine: kayaking along the coast towards the PalmMar rocks, the same kayak with a snorkelling stop, stand up paddle, and a package that adds a try dive from the boat. This is sea to cover slowly, with the chance to see dolphins, turtles and rays in their natural habitat.
For an adult, the kayak costs 39 €, the kayak with snorkelling 45 € and paddleboard rental 25 €; children aged 6 to 10 pay half on both kayaks (19.50 € and 22.50 €). The kayak and try dive package is 110 € per person.
Both kayaks are open from age 6 with no previous experience, with life jacket, wetsuit and water shoes included; the snorkelling version adds 30 minutes in the water with mask and snorkel, and the guide helps you in and out of the kayak. Paddleboarding is from age 10.
If you've never stood on a board, the lesson with an instructor is 1 hour of explanation and 1 hour of practice: 60 € for one person and 85 € for two. The package, for complete beginners, pairs the 2-hour kayak with 20 minutes of diving, in one day or split over two, with a time between 9:00 and 16:00.
There is pick-up from hotels in the south of Tenerife for 2 € per person: give your accommodation when booking and the exact time arrives by email. The kayak, the kayak with snorkelling and the paddleboarding are instant booking, with the QR pass as soon as you pay; the package is on request and the centre confirms within 24 hours, or nothing is charged.
Mind the cancellation policy, which is not free here: up to 24 hours before the booked time 50 % is refunded and, after that, nothing. It is written on each listing before you pay.
