Lloret makes a handy base for riding: Fenals, Sa Boadella and Cala Banys are minutes away, and the Costa Brava roads and the tracks inland from Girona start right at the town. There are four bikes for hire, all collected in the centre and none of them requiring any kind of qualification.
For getting around town and the nearby coves, the basic mountain bike is plenty and it's the cheapest in the catalogue. The mountain bike with front suspension, an aluminium frame and disc brakes is the one that handles real trails. For the road there's a carbon bike with a Tiagra, 105 or Ultegra groupset, and for mixing tarmac and dirt, a carbon gravel bike with disc brakes and an 11-speed GRX cassette.
The basic mountain bike costs €15 a day in standard season and €20 in high season. The mountain bike with suspension, €25 a day and €60 for three days; the road and gravel bikes, €50 a day and €135 for three days. From two or three days on, the price per day drops.
There's no minimum age and no licence needed: under-18s ride accompanied. Helmet, lock and repair kit are included depending on the model, and the deposit — from €50 — is left when you pick the bike up and returned in full when you bring it back. On hires of three days or more, delivery to your hotel is free.
You book online with no card to leave and nothing to pay up front: you pay when you collect the bike, and pick-up takes under five minutes. The operator confirms availability within 24 hours of your booking.
Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before pick-up, and the price you see when you book is locked in at that moment.
