Two 90-minute guided visits with an official guide and art historian: Itálica, the first city the Romans founded in the peninsula, and the Monastery of San Isidoro del Campo, a 14th-century medieval gem. Both start in Santiponce, about 10 minutes from Seville.
Itálica was the birthplace of the emperors Trajan and Hadrian, and its amphitheatre featured in Game of Thrones. San Isidoro del Campo was founded by Guzmán el Bueno in 1301 and keeps mural paintings by the Hieronymite monks.
Each visit costs 13 € per person and lasts 90 minutes. They combine well in one day: the Roman site in the morning and the monastery afterwards.
They are relaxed plans, suitable for families; in summer bring a hat and water to Itálica, which is an open-air site.
Both are subject to confirmation: you pick a day, the amount is authorised on your card and it is confirmed within 24 hours; if it cannot be, nothing is charged.
