There are two buggy routes today: one through the hills of Lloret de Mar, on the Costa Brava, and another through the vineyards of the Penedès, in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, about 45 minutes from Barcelona.
On both you drive yourself, always behind a guide, on dirt tracks away from the roads.
Two hours on forest tracks and dirt roads inland, past a small reservoir, with an intercom to talk to the guide along the way. The price depends on how many of you go: 169 € for one person, 189 € for two, 209 € for three and 229 € for four, with comprehensive insurance, fuel and cold drinks included.
A valid B licence and being 18 are enough; children from 4 can ride as co-pilots. Bring a change of clothes: there is dust and mud.
