The water sports you can book on the Costa Brava today leave from two neighbouring towns: Lloret de Mar, with Fenals beach and the Club Nàutic de Cala Canyelles, and Blanes, with s'Abanell beach. Between them there is parasailing, no-licence jet ski, towed inflatables, wakeboarding, water skiing, paddle boarding and speedboat trips.
Prices start at 20 € for the banana boat and paddle boarding; inflatables run from 25 to 30 €, parasailing costs 70 € and jet skis start at 55 € per ski. Most of it is sold from 1 May to 12 October.
Fenals is where the airborne rides and the packs are: parasailing, which lifts you up to 50 metres above the sea from age 6, and combos of several towed rides in one outing, from 65 €. Each single inflatable there lasts 10 minutes, and jet skis are ridden from age 16 with parental consent, either on a route along the cliffs or on a safari from Cala Canyelles.
At s'Abanell the inflatables last 20 minutes and the offer opens up to things you learn: half an hour of wakeboarding or water skiing for 65 €, an hour of paddle boarding for 20 € and a 90-minute skippered speedboat trip towards Tossa de Mar for 50 €. Jet skis in Blanes come as a circuit, from 55 €, or as a tour to the coves of Tossa, from 170 €.
The inflatables, parasailing, wakeboarding, paddle boarding and the speedboat are instant booking: you pay and the QR pass arrives by email straight away. The jet skis and the Fenals packs are on request: the amount is only authorised on your card, the centre confirms in under 24 hours and only then is it charged; if it cannot, the authorisation is released at no cost.
Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before on most listings; the exact deadline and what is refunded after it are written on each activity page before you pay. Lloret and Blanes are 10 minutes apart by car, so you can combine activities from both beaches on the same day.
It depends on what you want. Fenals, in Lloret, has parasailing and packs that combine several inflatables in one outing, with 10-minute sessions. S'Abanell, in Blanes, has 20-minute inflatables, wakeboarding, water skiing, paddle boarding and a speedboat trip towards Tossa de Mar. The two towns are 10 minutes apart by car.
Almost everything: the banana boat and towed inflatables, parasailing (from age 6) and paddle boarding need no previous experience. Jet skis need no licence either: on the Lloret and Blanes outings an instructor stays with the group.
