Two motor experiences in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, in the heart of the Alt Penedès, about 45 minutes from Barcelona: driving a 4x4 on a private trial circuit and a buggy route along the district's vineyard tracks.
Both leave from the same spot, on Carrer Masia Prunamala, and they are the active counterpart to an area people almost always visit for the wineries.
The 4x4 is driven on a closed circuit in a Nissan Patrol Extreme and needs no driving licence: 30-minute sessions for 97 €, 45 for 145 € and 60 for 169 €.
The buggy route runs on open tracks in a Polaris RZR 900: 1 hour for 188 €, 2 hours for 300 € and 3 hours for 375 €, per person and up to two per buggy. Here the driver does have to be over 35 and to have held a licence for two years; children can ride along as passengers from the age of 5.
Both are sold as a voucher: you pay online, you get the code, and the centre agrees the day and time with you. It is the usual way to sell when a circuit works by groups rather than fixed timetables.
Because it is bought without a date, the voucher carries 14 days of withdrawal from the purchase, and the specific terms are written on each activity page before you pay.
Not for the 4x4 on the circuit: it is a closed venue and there is an instructor. For the buggy route you do, and the driver also has to be over 35 with a licence held for two years; children can ride along as passengers from the age of 5.
After buying. Both activities are sold without a date: you pay online, you get the code, and the centre agrees a day and time that suits you.
