Whale and dolphin watching in the Canary Islands

The five trips on this page currently leave from the south of Tenerife: Puerto Colón (Costa Adeje), Los Cristianos harbour and Las Galletas (Arona). The waters off that coast stay between 17 and 24 degrees all year round, which is why pilot whales and bottlenose dolphins live here permanently.

This is watching wild animals: you see what the day offers, always from a safe distance and following responsible whale-watching rules. Nobody can promise a sighting.

From 2 to 5 hours, from 27 €

The shortest is 2 hours on a teak sailboat or a wooden Portuguese schooner, from 27 € per adult and 13.50 € per child. At 3 hours there is a small 22-seat yacht with lunch and a swim (63 €), and at 5 hours, a teak sailboat that adds the Los Gigantes cliffs, lunch and a swim in a cove (61 €).

If you prefer a boat for your own group, there is the private trip from Las Galletas, for 1 to 6 people: 350 € for 2 hours and 450 € for 3, per boat. Babies travel free on the shared trips, although they must be booked.

How to book

All are on request: you choose day and time, the amount is held on your card and the boat confirms within 24 hours; if it can't, nothing is charged. Once confirmed, the QR pass arrives.

The meeting point (pier, dock or marina) and the free cancellation window are shown on each listing before you pay. It works for a weekend morning as well as for a weekday off.
