The two trips on this page leave from Puerto Colón (pier 14), in Costa Adeje, aboard an oriental-style teak sailboat. The waters of southern Tenerife stay between 17 and 24 degrees all year round, which is why pilot whales and bottlenose dolphins live here permanently.
This is watching wild animals: you see what the day offers, always from a distance and following responsible whale-watching rules. Nobody can promise a sighting, so book for the time at sea, not for a guaranteed photo.
The short trip lasts 2 hours and costs from 27 € per adult and 13.50 € per child (2 to 11). It leaves at 10:00 on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, with water included and a bar on board. Babies under 2 travel free, but they must be booked.
The long one lasts 5 hours and costs 61 € per adult and 30.50 € per child (3 to 11). After watching the whales, for a maximum of 30 minutes so as not to disturb them, it continues to the Los Gigantes cliffs, anchors in a cove for lunch and a swim in open water, and returns along the coast. It leaves at 12:00, includes lunch and drinks, and children under 3 go free.
Both are on request: you choose day and time, the amount is held on your card and the boat confirms within 24 hours; if it can't, nothing is charged. Once confirmed, the QR pass arrives.
It works as well for a free weekday morning as for a Sunday: no rush, and the short trip is back in port by midday. The free cancellation window is shown on each listing before you pay.
No: they are wild animals. Pilot whales and bottlenose dolphins live in southern Tenerife all year round, which gives good chances, but no boat can promise a sighting. They are always watched from a distance and for 30 minutes at most.
There are two trips from Puerto Colón: 2 hours, from 27 € per adult and 13.50 € per child, and 5 hours with a stop at Los Gigantes for lunch and a swim, at 61 € and 30.50 €. Prices are per person.
Yes. Children have their own price (2 to 11 on the short trip and 3 to 11 on the long one) and babies under 2 or under 3, depending on the trip, travel free, although they must be booked.
Water is included on both; the 5-hour trip adds lunch and drinks. Booking is on request: the amount is held and the boat confirms within 24 hours; if it can't, nothing is charged. It leaves from Puerto Colón, pier 14.
