Tip-based free walking tours in Barcelona

Seven guided walks, tip-based, through the Barcelona of every visitor's list: the Gothic Quarter and the Born, Gaudí and Modernisme, the Raval and a 3-in-1 that starts at the Sagrada Família. They last 2 to 3 hours, stay outdoors and have no tickets to pay; they run in Spanish or English depending on the departure.

Most need 5 people signed up for the tour to go ahead, and the online booking is confirmed instantly, with a QR pass.

What each one covers

The Gothic Quarter and the Born takes about 2 hours (2 h 15 min on one departure); the Raval, the city's "hidden side", about 2. Gaudí and Modernisme lasts 2 h 30 min, with Casa Batlló, La Pedrera and the Sagrada Família on the route: the houses are seen from outside and the metro ticket is not included.

The 3-in-1 lasts 3 hours, starts at the Sagrada Família and ends in the Gothic Quarter; it does not include entry to the inside of the church.

How the tip works and where to meet

The online booking is 2 € per person and the tour is tip-based: at the end you hand the guide whatever you find fair. It is not free: you decide the price when it ends. On the Plaça Nova departures, groups of more than 6 people give the guide a minimum of 12 € per person before starting.

Meeting points are Plaça Nova (next to the Cathedral), Plaça de Catalunya (corner of Bergara street) and Avinguda Gaudí, opposite the Sagrada Família; each listing shows its own.
