Cornudella de Montsant · 150 min · 32 €+
A complete tour of a family winery in the DO Montsant, set in a 15th-century farmhouse at the foot of the Montsant cliffs, just outside Cornudella. A journey from vine to glass to discover the secrets behind its most emblematic wines. It starts with a walk through the vineyards, planted on stony, clay soils at around 575 m above sea level near the Arbolí river, to see first-hand where the grapes are born and the artisanal care they receive. Then comes the guided tour of the cellar, where you will see the whole winemaking process from harvest to bottling, and a walk through the ageing room, where the wine rests in oak barrels. It ends with a tasting of 5 of the house wines: two whites, a rosé and two reds, with Grenache and Carignan as the leading varieties. It lasts about 2 hours and 30 minutes. It includes a 10% discount on lunch at the winery's restaurant. Minors come free with an adult but do not take part in the tasting. It is held in Catalan, Spanish or English.
At the winery's estate: Afores, s/n, 43360 Cornudella de Montsant (Tarragona), about 5 km from the village.
