Almería · 90 min · 2 €+ · Almería Visitas Guiadas

Explore Spain's largest Andalusian fortress, its three walled enclosures and a thousand years of history with an official guide who is also a historian, paying for the tour with a tip at the end. We start in the first enclosure, where the original city of Almería stood, and from inside look out over the Hoya walls and San Cristóbal hill while we tell you who Jairán was. In the second enclosure we walk into the ruins of the Muslim governors' palace, the houses, the hermitage of San Juan, the Odalisca viewpoint and the Caliphal cistern, one of the best-preserved water tanks in Andalusia. We finish in the Christian enclosure built by the Catholic Monarchs, climbing its towers to see the city from above. Along the way you'll hear about the films shot inside these walls. Duration: about 1 h 30 min, around 2 km on foot With an official Andalusian tourist guide In Spanish Slopes and stairs: medium-high difficulty, limited accessibility No pets allowed

How much do people usually tip?

Whatever you felt the tour was worth: there's no set price and no minimum. As a rough guide, many people give between €10 and €20 per person, but it's entirely up to you.

Can I tip by card?

It depends on the guide, so it's safest to bring some cash. If they accept other payment methods, they'll tell you at the end.

Instant confirmation on payment.

Can I cancel if something comes up?

Yes: free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start time — email info@activitatum.com with your booking code. If the activity is called off, bad weather included, you change the date at no cost or get the amount back.

Can I book several activities at once?
